A typical Lake District day...rain, rain and more rain. I arrived at Tarn How more in hope than anything else. One good thing about bad weather is that is often brings about the most dramatic photographs.
As I walked to the edge of the Tarn, the sky broke and a beautiful rainbow appeared. I knew then it could be good.
I set up my location for the photograph and got battered by really blustery conditions as I was totally open to the elements perched on this viewpoint. I waited for the light and I managed to capture the sunlight strafing across the image.
