I was busy concentrating on taking photographs of this beautiful section of Stock Ghyll Force Waterfall as is runs down towards Ambleside. The trouble was I wasn't happy with the images I was getting, they seemed distant and they did not capture the force of the water. So I decided to brave the waters with only Walking Boots on and reach an Island in the middle of the river. From there I contorted myself into a very uncomfortable position that allowed me to get really close to the water using the wide angle Nikkor 16-35mm wide angle lens at its widest setting and a very low tripod. I was wary of getting splashes of water on the lens. This was the end result...and I feel this is a much more involving image.
