Lost Bluebells
In some respects this has become a little bit of a sad image for me. This location, within perhaps a couple of miles of home, was a beautiful small wood that you could easily access. Ancient woodland I suspect with wonderful Oak tress and one of my favourite flowers to photograph, the Bluebell. I have photographed Bluebells in different parts of the country but to have this on my doorstep was amazing.
Unfortunately much of the woodland was felled a year to two ago and with the associated upheaval also went the Bluebells. Perhaps the painted numbers on some of the trees - you can spot a red ‘2’ on the distance Oak - were a sign of things to come. The land now appears to be replanted with something else but I do not know what. It saddens me when I pass by to think what has been lost.

Winter’s Beauty
During the year of this image I seem to recall we have little in the way of snow. So when we did have some I ventured out to the next village to me - around 3 miles away) - to investigate the canal route that skirts it. I wasn’t dissapointed.

Gold & Grey
A five minute drive from home gets to me to a small wood where there used to be woodland and bluebells. Almost on the opposite side of the road is this stand of trees. Looking for Autumn colours I could not resist the golds against brooding clouds behind.
Rich’s
A friend of mine lives in one of the converted buildings in the distance. This is an easy location to get to if the weather looks promising as I can walk from home to this spot in around 10mins. This night I was keen to try out some new gear and the weather certainly played ball! I waited patiently once set up for the low sun to side light the buildings and was pleased with the strafing light across the field and the brooding storm clouds approaching. I also love the warm soft light in the foreground, overall creating something I am pleased with within 10mins of home.
