The Heart of England
Central England has some wonderful locations for landscape photography and is also my home patch.

Just Light
The image contains no grand vista, no waterfalls or mountains - its purely about light. The field was a short drive from where I lived and I liked the soft undulations but had never captured it. This particular day I was out with my camera when I noticed the conditions starting to unfold. I waited for the light to hit to separate the lie of the land perfectly.

Forecast Rain
An image from the sky overlooking the county of Staffordshire. Amazing rain clouds off in the distance whilst the autumnal colours are highlighted with a break in the clouds.
Stiperstones
I have visited Stiperstones on a number of occasions as it’s within an hours drive of home in Shropshire. It is a local high point made and covered in Quartz rock - which makes for a bit of scrambling around at the top once off the beaten path. This was a sunrise shot after another early morning alarm…but the wake up, drive, climb and patience were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise complete with mist in the distance.

Distant Rain
A hot air balloon ride over Staffordshire at the perfect time! Wonderful side lighting together with the distant rain and storm clouds allowed for some great photography. The balloon ride left us with memories we will treasure.
